Robert O. Shields Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2025, at the age of 90, Robert O. Shields (Buffalo, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan M.; his parents, Eric Shields and Agnes Shields; his brother Eddie Shields; and his half-sister Joann Rosengren (Fred).
He is survived by: his children, Robert E. Shields (Gwen), Susan Wren (Eddie) and Carolyn Duke (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Stephanie Haddad (Michael), Samantha Canton (R. J. Falise), Suzanne Collier (Andrew), Sabrina Canton (Dan Brauer) and Dustin James; his great grandchildren, Elissa, Michael Haddad III, Lilly, Zachary, Avery Collier and Logan Richter; his nephew Robert K. Shields (Janice); and his children, Princie, Rusty, Spike and Jet.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Harris Hill Chapel (8440 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14221). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (4375 Harris Hill Rd, Buffalo, NY 14221). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Peter & Paul Cemetery (264 S Union Rd, Buffalo, NY 14221).
If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Buffalo VA Hospital or Alzheimer's Association.
