She is survived by: her children, Brenda Applewhite and Danny Ellis (Velinda); her grandchildren, Isaac Applewhite, Ronjonette Obannon (Omar), Shawntelle Baker and Otis Boatwright Jr.; and her sister Joan Gibson.
