She was predeceased by: her parents, Aleksandra Melnyczuk and Peter Melnyczuk; her son Christopher Balon; and her grandson Tyler Wasinger. She is survived by: her husband Edward J. Balon, Jr.; her daughter Dianna Wasinger; her grandchild Taylor Wasinger; and her sisters, Lillian Melnyczuk, Sophie Piatkowski (James) and Christine Crimi (late David). She is also survived by several friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
