He was predeceased by: his siblings, John (Patricia Shea), Gayle Cryan (Bernie), Dick (Audrey) and Mary Ray. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Mickey" Ray (Keane); his sons, William P. (Maricarmen), Timothy J. (Jennifer), Joseph P. (Michelle) and Peter C. Ray (Diane); his grandchildren, Patrick, Griffen, Finley, Saylor, Logan, Garrett, Cayden and McKenzie; and his siblings, Geraldine "Tuffy" Moynihan (Andrew), Jeannie Russo (Andre), Bryan (Madonna) and Robert. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
