He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maureen Patterer; his children, Elizabeth Hogan (William III), William J. (Sandra) and Cynthia Patterer; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Welnhofer, Joseph Patterer and Carly Patterer; his brother Joseph W. Patterer; and his sister-in-law Marilee Patterer. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
