We bid farewell to George Ray Lewis of Burnt Hills, New York, born in Cleveland, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 29, 2025 at the age of 91. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Lewis and Lottie Lewis (Pennell). He is survived by: his sons, George "Steven" Lewis (Parima) and Rodney Lewis (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Jason Lewis (Amy Staines), Ashley Salmon (Scott) and Cara Ebling (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Gloriana and Dean Salmon; and his wife Joan Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (547 Saratoga Rd, Schenectady, NY 12302). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jonesville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
