He is survived by: his wife Pamela Neumann Murphy; his children, Kevin P. Murphy (Melissa) of Youngsville and Kim Marie Murphy of Callicoon; his grandsons, Christopher Murphy (Louise) of Buffalo and Adam Murphy of Rochester; his siblings, Kay Bettwy of Altoona, Doti Balenger of Bokeelia, Jerry Murphy (Betsy) of Damascus and John Murphy (Ronny) of Callicoon; and his sister-in-law Ellen Neumann of Liberty. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
