We bid farewell to Bernice King (Cambridge, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 14, 2026 at the age of 90. Bernice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Truehart and Ida Truehart (Sherman); her husband Gilbert H. King; and her siblings, Elizabeth, Pete, Emma, Ida, Eli, Calla, Waneta, Beaulah, George, LaVerne, Ernest and Eva.
She is survived by: her daughter Constance; her son-in-law Alan Forand of Hebron; her grandchildren, Cheryl Porter (Matt) and Jason Getty (Crystal); her great grandchildren, Jacob, John Getty, Paisley, Brinley, Nolan Porter, Wyatt and Easton Paul; and her nephews, LaVerne "Dude" Truehart, Fred Truehart and Terry Sutliff.
