He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Simmons and Bonita Simmons; and his brother Jason Simmons. He is survived by: his close friend Theresa Sunder; his children, Kursten Simmons and Nate Simmons; his stepson Matthew Rose; his granddaughter Athena Leigh; and his siblings, Becky Simmons-Cook (Ryan), Dan Simmons (Nicole), Alicia Simmons (Kenny), George Simmons (Linda), Sarah Simmons (Clarence) and Jennifer Simmons (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America.
