He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Aldridge Christopher (Frank) and Vinette Marie Tate (Hill); his brother John Thomas Tate; and his brother-in-law Robert James Smtih. He is survived by: his son Bill; his siblings, Patricia "Patty" Maria Smith, Francis James Tate, Frederick "Freddy" William Tate (Debbie) and Margaret Ann "Peggy" Brubaker (Jeff); his sister-in-law Jeanne Tate; his cousin Theresa "Bready" Letcher; and his children, Ricky Bready, Maureen Engel (Surdam) and Tom Engel. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
