Charles Sharkey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2025, at the age of 76, Charles Sharkey of Camillus, New York, born in Utica, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Charles may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maryrose Sharkey and Joseph Sharkey. He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Julie) of Minoa and Matthew (Amanda Naylor) of Nedrow; his granddaughters, Annelise and Nora Sharkey; his close friend Carol Sullivan of Liverpool; and his siblings, Anthony (Marsha) of Shelton, CT and Joanne Giuliano (George) of Rochester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
