Daniel C. Rizzo Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel C. Rizzo Sr. of Camillus, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 19, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen Rizzo and Edith Rizzo (Eallonardo); his brother David; his sister-in-law Jennifer Rizzo; and his son-in-law Wayne McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Gail; his children, Kimberly McGee (John) of Frederick, MD, Dan Jr. (Jeanine) of Pittsburgh, PA and Cheryl McDonald (Chris Lego) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Daniel III, Jarrett (Carly), Megan, Zachary and Colton; and his caregiver Keziah Bush. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Church (127 Chapel Dr, Syracuse, NY 13219). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery (4069 Howlett Hill Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215).
