He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Kreis and Margaret Kreis; his son Jeffrey; and his siblings, Herman Kreis, Irving Kreis, Helen Kelly, Edith "Honey" Galaska, Marjorie Gross, Viola Harris, Pauline Rusyniak, Carol Eipp and Shirley Kilmer.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McDowell; his children, Deborah Lockwood, Kathy Carapella, Philip "Randy", Karen Johnston and Ernest; his grandchildren, Melissa Sardella, Phillip, Shawn Kreis, Katelyn Hile and Krista Johnston; his great grandchildren, Harley, Avery, Raegan Kreis and Carter Sardella; his sister Sandra Birmingham; and his grandchildren, Bert and Zoey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
