He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Ungaro Shibel; his siblings, Yvonne, Emily, Charles and Edmond; and his parents, Charles (Mary Shibel) and Fred.
He is survived by: his sister Vivian; his children, Susan (Harry Horwitz), Jo Ann (Leslie Stone), Lynne Fisher and Frederick C. Shibel Jr.; his grandchildren, Allison Stone, Laura Horwitz, Amy Kafaf, Ryan Fisher, Kara Juban, Morgan Shibel and Fred; and his children, Emilia, Sienna and Leo.
