He was predeceased by: his wife Linda; and his parents, Floyd Marris and Hester Marris. He is survived by: his daughters, Misty Marris (Brent Stoothoff) of New York, NY and Whitney Marris (Alex Varisco) of Alexandria, VA; his siblings, Richard (Karin) of Erieville, Kevin (Debbie) of New Woodstock, Ellen Brooks of Oriskany Falls, Margaret Marris of Liverpool and Maureen Albee (Bruce) of Morrisville; his brother-in-law William Bartholomae of Camillus; and his pets, Barney and Jennifer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
