He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor; and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his children, William McCarthy, Patrick McCarthy (Michelle), Margaret Morrell (Paul), Katie Assaf (Joe) and Nora O'Malley (Bud); his grandchildren, Emily Downing (David), Erin Lucas (Ken), Sarah Morrell, Julie, Michael, Peter, Billy Assaf, Buddy, Danny, George O'Malley, Alyssa and Sean McCarthy; and his great grandchildren, Alex Downing and Eleanor Lucas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
