He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Austin and Ida Austin (Havens); his daughter Catherine Austin; and his siblings, Robert, Warren, Harold, Walt, Floyd, Jr., Marion Austin Stedge, Anna Austin Sherwood and Laura Austin Warn.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Austin; his children, Mark Austin (Michelle), Cynthia Rice (Larry) and Christopher Austin (Tracy); his grandchildren, Afton Cordes (Vinny), Erik Austin, Ryan Simmons (Victoria), Nicholas Austin (Nicole), Andrew Daw, Bristol Knarr (Kyle), Pacen Austin, Jason Rice (Tricia) and Holly Rice; and his brothers, Doug Austin (Betty) and William Austin (Josephine). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (17 W Pulteney St, Corning, NY 14830). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (8508 Main St, Campbell, NY 14821). A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Cemetery of Campbell (8795 E Main St, Campbell, NY 14821).
