She was predeceased by : her parents, Elmer Merwin and Blanche Rivenburgh Merwin; her husband Walter E. Rood, Jr.; and her siblings, John Merwin, Elmer Merwin, Edward Merwin, Franklin Merwin, Betty Ware and Dorothy Oliver.

She is survived by : her daughter Kimberly (Rich Consalvo); her grandchildren, Emma, Murphy, Richie, Bambi, Dalton and Piper; her children, Rose (Dayton Syzdek, family: Tammy) and William H. Rood, Sr.; and her siblings, Russell Merwin, Richard Merwin, Charles (Sue Merwin) and Mildred. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
