He was predeceased by : his parents, Nelson Blowers and Edith Podschelne Blowers; his siblings, Dawn Lane, Darla Yennard, David Blowers and Jerry Blowers; and his niece Darcy Blowers.

He is survived by : his close friend Amy Kretser; his children, Jennifer Ponder, Sabrina Polk and James "Jimmy" Blowers; and his brothers, Rod Blowers, Allen Blowers and Paul Blowers. He is also survived by several grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
