He is survived by: his children, Melinda and Darrell Jr.; his grandson Carter; and his siblings, Donald Jr. (Cheryl), Richard (Laurie), James (Karen), Michael and Tina Backus. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
