Though Matthew may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He is survived by: his parents, Jack Eckdahl and Jeanne Eckdahl; his brothers, Jeff (Lara) and Tim (Kelli); his wife Mary; and his children, Maxwell and McKenna. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law; his dogs.
