He is survived by: his children, Jared Akins (Aimee Sciotti) and Brittany Simon (Matthew); his grandchildren, Lyla Akins, Remington Akins and Tristan Simon; his sister Darlene Krupp (Michael); and his nephew Chad Krupp.
