He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Dockstater, and Isabel Ninham Dockstater, Sr.; his son-in-law Mike Van Patten; and his siblings, Christine Stickles, Bob, Duke, Millard Ninham and Ray Dockstader.
He is survived by: his children, Kellie Dockstader of Oneida, Krissy Van Patten of Canastota, Jason Dockstader (Jeannette) of Oneida and Basil Dockstader III (Crystal) of Yorkville; his grandchildren, Kalynn, Erin, Levi, Jaden, Breanna, Alayna, Carson, Kal, Chad, Chelsea, Samantha, Jessie, Tyler, Alexander, Connor, Cameron and Ava; his sisters, Wanda Hess of Detroit and Regina Stickles of Oneida; and his in-laws, Syd, Carl, Virginia, Shirley, Clyde, Bruce, Clint and Oliver "Lover". He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Family Home (2864 Whitelaw Rd W, Canastota, NY 13032). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
