He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Chenel and Claire Chenel (Eddy); his son Bruce R. Chenel, II; and his brother Thomas Chenel. He is survived by: his son Joshua (Jessica Chenel); his granddaughter Layla Mary Chenel; and his siblings, Steven Chenel (Tekla Dorgan), William (Julie Chenel), Jeanne Chenel Goldsmith of Latham, Kathy (Steven Scaman), Debi (Rick Savage), Valarie Thayer of Angier, NC and Melissa Zizzi of Oriskany. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
