He was predeceased by: his parents, John, Sr. Pafka and Anna Pafka (Seitz). He is survived by: his significant other Maggie Davis of Canastota; his children, Donald A. Pafka of Canastota and Heather; his son-in-law Chris Steinle of Hernando, FL; his sister Dorothy Lloyd of Gainesville, FL; his grandchildren, Rose Upham of Lyndonville, VT and Andy Steinle of Denver, CO; his great grandchild Hazel Upham; his sibling's children, Robert Lloyd and Kyle Durst; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Summer Lloyd, Brooke Lloyd, Ivy Lloyd, Levy Durst and Noelle Durst.
