Nelson A. Bunnell Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nelson A. Bunnell Jr. of Canastota, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nelson A. Bunnell Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson A. Bunnell Sr. and Flora Bunnell (Martin); his former wife Elizabeth Paquette Bunnell; his daughter Krista Bunnell Perry; his stepdaughter Mary Beth Cochis; and his siblings, Everett Bunnell, Dean Bunnell, Jean Bunnell Grapes, Marilyn Bunnell Hewington and Maxine Bunnell Hughes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dianne Bunnell Yellé (late Gary Yellé) of Archer, FL and Renée Bunnell (Paul Lupi) of New York City; his grandchildren, Philip Haynes (Kelly Haynes) of Loveland, CO and Nicole Perry (Rob Dolecki) of Philadelphia; his great grandchildren, Liam Haynes and Brooklyn Haynes of Loveland, CO.; his stepchildren, David Walsh (Nancy Walsh) of Westmoreland, NY, Kathleen Walsh of Canastota, NY, Joan Donley of Canastota, NY, Anne Merriman (Eugene Merriman) of Cazenovia, NY and Margaret Potocki (Steven Potocki) of Whitesboro, NY.; and his brother Clifford Bunnell (late Shirley Bunnell) of Colebrook, NH.. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc. (201 James St, Canastota, NY 13032). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clockville Cemetery.
