He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cotton and Virginia Cotton (Cole); his brother John Cotton; his brothers-in-law, Paul, Jimmy Greenfield, Gary Koon and John Chase; and his nephews, Andrew Eldridge, Todd and Darrin Greenfield.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Amy Grant (Scott) of Woodhull and Dennis Cotton (Leslie) of Canisteo; his grandchildren, Allison and Aaron Grant; his siblings, Susan Campbell, Joanne Koon, Patricia Eldridge (James), Cindy Creeley, Paul Cotton, Steve Cotton (Connie), Grant Cotton (Lynn), Vivian, David (Kathy) and Joe (Cheryl); and his sister-in-law Patty Greenfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
