He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin James and Lillian Meckley James; and his wife Gloria James. He is survived by: his children, Darla Carnahan (Gary) of Pennsylvania, Timothy James (Ginny) of Pennsylvania and David James (Jane Ann) of Pennsylvania; and his sister Nellie "Sandy" Valentine (Mike) of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
