He was predeceased by: his mother Harriett Curtis Amidon; his sister Betty Lou Amidon; and his in-laws, Glenda and Phillip Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Lisa; his siblings, Vickie Weyand (James) of Kane, PA, Larry Amidon (Diane) of Hartsville and Randy Amidon (Shelly) of Hartsville; and his sister-in-law Norma (Jeff Hoffman) of Addison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the H. P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home - Canisteo (29 E Main St, Canisteo, NY 14823). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Steve's name are suggested for the Hornell Humane Society.
