With sadness, we share the passing of William Ward Ide of Canisteo, New York. William, born on July 13, 1931, passed away on August 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember William for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ide and Viola VanOrman Ide; his wife Vicky; his siblings, Harriett Jay, Phyllis Drake, Patricia Fairchild, Shirley Sisson and Johnny Ide; and his grandson Gregory Ide.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Hurd of Hornell, Laurie Hurd (Tom Stuart) of Canisteo, Eric Ide (Tammy) of Burns and Jason Ide of Tennessee. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The military honors was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (413 Co Rd 2, Almond, NY 14804).
