The family announces the passing of George D. LaPierre (Canton, New York) on October 1, 2026. George, born on July 6, 1941, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie LaPierre and Frederick LaPierre. He is survived by: the mothers of children, Anne Gordon (Stephen), Andrea Kanakis (Angelo) and Alicia LaPierre (Dom Mossmann); his grandchildren, Ben, Andrew, Randy Gordon, George, Reed Kanakis, Theodore and Samantha Mossmann; and his siblings, Marilu Kenny and James LaPierre. He is also survived by his former wife, three daughters and two siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (190 Miner Street Rd, Canton, NY 13617).
