He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lawrence (Finnegan); his wife Rita St. Dennis of Mary's Catholic Church; his stepmother Geraldine Lawrence; and his brother-in-law Ronnie McAvoy (Finnegan, family: Helen, Howard, Mildred, Ruth, Fran, Leona, Walter, Lloyd). He is survived by: his children, Steven Lawrence (Lynn) of Potsdam, James Lawrence of Potsdam, Mary Lawrence of Canton, Kathleen Lawrence of Ormond Beach, FL and Patricia Todd (Kirk) of Canton; his grandchildren, Harrison Lawrence (Amanda) of Newburgh, NY, Delaney Lawrence (Kevin Swenson) of Boston, MA, John Lawrence (Chantal) of Potsdam, James Lawrence (Allison) of Potsdam, Thomas Lawrence (Katelynn) of Potsdam, Sara Ackroyd (Darrel) of Ballston Spa, Travis Todd (Nicole) of Canton, Jessica Wheeler (Chris) of Canton and Andrew Todd (Ashley) of Malone; and his sister Joanne McAvoy. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Leary Funeral Service (5821 US-11, Canton, NY 13617). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (68 Court St, Canton, NY 13617).
