He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth MaComber and Ethel Sherburne (Gilbert); his wife Joanne C. Sweeney of Mary's Church; his daughter Hope Shattuck (Macomber); his sister Sharon Jeffery (Macomber); his granddaughter Shelby Jean Macomber; his nephew Jason Hughes; his brother-in-law Kenneth Weegar; and his parents-in-law, Leona and Joseph Sweeney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy LaPoint (Pete) of Massena and Tina Baker (Dale) of Brushton; his grandchildren, Thomas Macomber, Kaelyn LaPoint, Maurice Shattuck Jr., Bryan Shattuck, Richard Love III, Shawn Love, Kimberley Baker, Dustin Baker and Destiny Baker; his sisters, Patricia Duff of Irregon and Vicki Braunhardt (Gary) of Princeton, Massachusetts; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Weegar of Massena and Sally Hughes of Massena. He is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home (100 N Main St, Massena, NY 13662). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his honor to the Operation Grateful Nation (Wing House) in Massena, or a charity of ones choosing.
