She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcolm Bates and Edna Bates (Babcock); her siblings, Malcolm Bates (Elnina), Elizabeth Millard (Wayne), Christine Mason, Frederick Bates and Donald Bates; her sister-in-law Judith Bates; and her close friend Wire Quinlin.
She is survived by: her brothers, Kenneth Bates of Watertown, NY and Robert (Mary Lou Bates). She is also survived by 27 nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
