With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carol Cerreta of Carmel, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominick Zampetti and Helen Cerniello. She is survived by: her husband Philip Cerreta; her sons, Philip Cerreta Jr., Anthony Cerreta (Cindy Cerreta) and Christopher Cerreta; her grandchildren, Jennifer Cerreta (Heather Creek), Julianne Cerreta, Jessica Cerreta, Frank Fumo Jr. (Jessica Fumo) and Christina Seaman (Kyle Seaman); her sister Barbara Tripodo (Joseph Tripodo); her niece Denise Tripodo-Wiggs (Shawn Wiggs); her great-nephew Joey Wiggs; her nephew Jason Tripodo; Lori-Ann Racki-Pendleton (Sam Pendleton) and Marie "Cookie" Svalstedt. She is also survived by her sister and niece as well as her daughter-in-law and granddaughters.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home (15 Church St, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James the Apostle Church (14 Gleneida Ave, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
