Genevieve Vasapolli Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Genevieve Vasapolli in Carmel, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Angelo Vasapolli; and her parents, Maxwell Stimmel and Sadie Stimmel (Cosgrove). She is survived by: her sister Patricia Caulfield.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cargain Funeral Homes Inc. - Carmel (10 Fowler Ave, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James the Apostle Church (14 Gleneida Ave, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512). An entombment was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Charles Cemetery (2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
