As we bid Russell farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Russell is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Russell Lavan. He is survived by: his mother Pat; and his sisters, Patti (Dean), Jeanne and Eileen. He is also survived by his seven nephews and nieces, along with cousins, aunt, and uncle.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cargain Funeral Homes Inc. - Carmel (10 Fowler Ave, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. James the Apostle Church (14 Gleneida Ave, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512).
