We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2024, at the age of 71, James William McAvoy in Carthage, New York, born in Watertown, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Ruth McAvoy Putman; his brother John Putman; and his father Glenn McAvoy. He is survived by : his children, Brian (Heather McAvoy), Justen (Kayla McAvoy), Joseph McAvoy of Mississippi and Jessica (Rusty) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Zachary, Blake, Devin, Colton, Grayson, Haylie, Laynie, Jaylin and Brinxlee; his stepgrandson Scott Anthony Goff; and his sisters, Cheryl LaQuay of Calcium and Vickie Spencer of Carthage.
