Ruth M. Gyurko Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth M. Gyurko of Carthage, New York, born in Natural Bridge, New York, who passed away on October 25, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eber Slye and Grace Slye (Stafford); her husband Leslie Gyurko of Henry's Church; her siblings, Vernon Slye and Geraldine Slye Howe; and her daughter-in-law Nancy Gyurko.
She is survived by: her children, Karlton Gyurko (Alice) of Carthage and Valerie Gyurko (Andy Gladwin) of Latham; her grandchildren, Kathleen of Lowville and Kyle Gyurko (Sally) of Edmeston; and her great grandchildren, Kaelynn Gyurko and Jackson Foy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. James Catholic Church, the Carthage Area Rescue Squad, or the First Responders at Great Bend or Deferiet Fire Departments.
