He was predeceased by: his father John C. Abel; and his granddaughter Harper Abel. He is survived by: his mother Carol Abel; his wife Eunice Abel; his children, Danielle Teachman (Charles), Jennifer Diate, Brenda Abel and John Abel (Ashley); his grandchildren, Blake, Addison, Thomas, Skylar, Eloise, Christopher and Tanner; and his sisters, Cynthia Abel, Karen Czesak (David), Lori Abel and Melissa Landis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
