She is survived by: her husband Robert McCarthy, Jr.; her children, Dorothy Hernandez, Theretta McCarthy, Leslie LaFleur and John McCarthy; and her siblings, John Gilson, Ron Gilson and Diane Gilson. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.
