He was predeceased by: his father James K. Sterritt; and his brother Mark D. Sterritt. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Sterritt (Riley); his wife Lori Sterritt (Jaeger); his children, Courtney Malloy, Ashley Arce (Carlos), James Sterritt (Alyssa) and Emily Tahaney (Michael); his grandchildren, Caleb Arce, Myles Malloy, Adelyn Sterritt, Aubree Sterritt, Lucas Arce and Amelia Sterritt; and his siblings, Suzanne Tratneck (Dale), Jeffery Sterritt, Thomas Sterritt and Allene Sterritt.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jay's memory to Friends of Caroline in South Carolina, whose compassionate care provided great comfort during his final days.
