He is survived by: his significant other Mary Beth Pethybridge; his children, Crystal Evener (Frank Morlock), Shelly Carnicelli and Jason Ciaschi (Kristy); his stepchildren, Shelly Pethybridge and Sonny Pethybridge; his siblings, Ronnie Pethybridge (Jackie), James Dixon (Rhonda), Eddie Dixon, John Dixon (Carmella), Dennis Walowsky (Amy) and Cathy Atkins (James); and his grandchildren, Riley Evener (Sasha), Mitchell, Rachel Fredenburg, Zachery Valerino, Bella and Harper Ciaschi. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Michael's name to Hospice of CNY.

“I learned his cell phone ringtone was his own voice saying “Donkey!”…like the braying of a donkey. I know the origin because we were working together when it came to be. Too long for this venue, simply put, IT is when we became friends. I didn’t connect the dots it until after his funeral. The recording is his voice msg to me that I sent back to him for fun. He worked with “partners” numbering in the thousands over the years…some of whom lasted only a day. Thanks Mike!”
