He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ludwig and Thelma Watson Ludwig; his former wife Dawn Ludwig; his wife Patricia Ludwig; and his brother John Ludwig.

He is survived by: his sisters, Darleen Paul (Stephen) and Eileen Totten; his nieces and nephews, Stephen Paul (Lorri), Rebecca Aldrich, Aaron Paul, Rachel Rappleyea (Carl), Eric Gravelding, Kimberly Dybalski (Tom), Paula Derby (Joe), Paul Totten (Amy), Mary Townsend (Paul) and Dorr Totten; and his close friends, Stephanie Mattes, Mike Corgnell (Sue), Richard Deys, John Kimber (Pat), John Hubbard (Sue) and Mary Horan.
