He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston C. Rice, Sr. and Gladys Newbold Rice; his grandfather P. C.; his siblings, Alice Andres, Dana and Dale Rice; and his grandson Eric Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Constance E. Kittleson (Connie); his children, Danny Rice of Sardinia, NY, Cynthia Tidd Chaffee (Gregory), Sandra Schiener (Jeffery) of Sardinia, NY, Debra Baber and Palm; his family, Preston and Connie; his uncle Dana Rice; Preston. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 12070 Savage Rd, Chaffee, NY 14030.

Memorials may be made to the Chaffee Sardinia Volunteer Fire Company.
