He is survived by: his wife Nora Jean Mercaldi; his sisters, June Pineault and Patricia Perkins; and his children, Leonard Mercaldi Jr. (Laurie), Francis Mercaldi (Lori), Maria Canty (David), Peter Mercaldi (Jody), Christina Marks (Matthew) and Shawn Mercaldi (Natalie). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one eagerly awaited great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (86 Church St, Champlain, NY 12919).
