He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily (William Weierstall) and Richard; and his brother Fred Weierstall. He is survived by: his wife Gail Thomsen Weierstall; his children, Eric J. Weierstall, Kurt Weierstall (Grace Herzog) and Karen Weierstall (Brian Hicks); his grandchildren, Aiden, Alexia, Rowenna, Lydia and Andrew; and his sister Lois Weierstall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to the American Transplant Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
