He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gooley and Clara Gooley; his wife Gertrude Gooley; his sons, Jason Gooley, Robert Gooley and Daniel Gooley; and his brothers-in-law, James Daily and Doug Pilon.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Juneau (Tom), Mary Hunter, Stacy Gooley (Robbin), Carter Gooley, Logan Gooley and Emma Gooley (Michael); the mother of his children Melissa Gooley; his sisters, Linda Pilon and Marilyn Daily; and his grandchildren, Matt Juneau (Gina), Cory Juneau, Brandon Gooley (Amanda), Danielle Gooley (Randy), Trisha Fry (Larry), Sherrell Picard, Chelsey Cowan (Tyler), Connor Gooley, Dylan Gooley (Joe) and Hannah Gooley (Rylee). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ross Funeral Home (196 Elm St, Champlain, NY 12919). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Church (86 Church St, Champlain, NY 12919). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (649 Prospect St, Champlain, NY 12919).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Champlain Emergency Medical Services or the Champlain Fire Department and Chazy Fire Department.
