We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2025, at the age of 98, Freda A. Whitfield of Chateaugay, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Alexander and Ella Mae Alexander (Davis); and her siblings, James Alexander (Hazel) of Standish, Robert Alexander (Rita) of Standish, Thomas Alexander (Diane) of Standish, Joseph Alexander of Peru, Daniel and Francis Gonzales (Fidel) of Lyon Mountain.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Lou Chambers; her son-in-law Alfred; her grandchildren, Luciana and Alfred Chambers; her great grandchildren, Shawmeek, Riona and Kyla; her great great grandchild Winter; her brother Donald (Regina) of Bedford; and her sister-in-law Janet Alexander of Peru.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Bernard's Church (10 Church Pond Rd, Lyon Mountain, NY 12952). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
