He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Petro Makowsky and Elizabeth Makowsky; his wife Valentina "Viola"; his daughters, Susan Ost (Wilford) and Lisa Marx (William); his grandchildren, Ryan Marx, Jennifer Rowe and Roxanne LaManna (late Eric); and his great grandchildren, Alex LaManna, Anya LaManna, Ethan Rowe, Audrey Rowe, Grace Rowe and Maddie Rowe. He was also cherished by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home (2400 William St, Cheektowaga, NY 14206). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 5:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the St Matthews Cemetery (180 French Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224).
